The Visit

The interview is always a crucial moment for getting to know important information about the person in front. It is not just a simple data collection, but a moment in which the first real relationship of trust is established. Questions and answers blend together so that both parties come away satisfied, making it possible to begin a genuine and effective collaboration.

the 5 fundamental phases of an osteopathic assessment

1st phase - medical history

the first approach is always verbal and it is the phase in which increasingly specific information is collected

2nd phase - observation

a careful visual assessment must focus on posture and active and passive movements

3rd phase - test

through precise movements (active and passive tests) areas with restricted mobility are identified

4th phase - palpation

Manual palpation of the different tissues can reveal any stiffness, tension, or contractures, making it possible to perform a comparison at the end of the treatment.

5th phase - treatment

is the synthesis of all the results obtained and the identification of the possible cause (or causes) of the disorder reported by the patient, with the corresponding specific approach

Finally, an explanation is ALWAYS given to the patient about what has been done, followed by some practical advice, in order to maintain and achieve the highest possible level of health and well-being.
